wow. this was piled way in the back and apparently I never published it to the blog. so here's a snippit from our trip to DC the first time :)

Up the mountain, down the mountain, up the mountain, down.....atleast the drive was full of pretty colors, meanwhile I feel like I'm gonna barf!
Since I missed ALL of the state signs this could be anywhere....Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland...not sure, but it was a beautiful day!
We thought that hole in the upcoming mountain was pretty cool

Pit stop at "The Ridge"--some random gas station at the top of one of those hills.
Found this little candle and thought it was funny. It says "Cindy...an alluring and flirtatious individual. She loves to win a fight" hmmm.
E: Which way are you supposed to be going? Is that our exit?
M:I dont know I'm trying to drive and look at my iphone stop talking
After finding out our first hotel was a bit uh...scary... we found another and finally made ourselves at home for the week.
**We were so worn our from driving/talking (since there was NO RADIO for 8 hours, thanks matt-his choice btw, the radio wasn't broken) that we decided to not go downtown. Instead, we headed to the nearest mall for a little shopping. You have to find a mall on vacation to stabilize your life, find some normalcy while your away from home. I felt MUCH better :)
